So let me get this straight- Rees didn't even create the clipart images in question and Jamba doesn't use any of Rees' copy or anything that comes close to it?

Thanks for your comment, Vince.

Rees uses public domain clip-art for his comics, in a unique way that he started. The problem with the Jamba Juice ad is that it uses this idea without permission.

Since the images are public domain, taking the matter to court is difficult. And even more difficult since, statistically speaking, 99% of judges in this country are addicted to fresh juice.

Jeez...what a petty thing to get all up in arms about. I understand artists and their rights to their work - if it is true infringement then go to court. I've seen Rees's work before - not exactly cutting edge or even unique. Looks like every clipart I've ever seen. Some people just need a bit of drama to rally around I guess. Company sells juice and tried to pull off an ad with a theme. If the picture doesn't match one one Rees's already produced drawings, then STFU.
